Is GTO Wizard free?
Yes, within limits. The free plan gives 100 preflop solutions and 1 postflop solution a day, 10 Trainer hands a day and 10 analyzed hands a month, and it solves preflop spots you set up yourself when stacks are 10 big blinds or less. On the Tournament tab, the plan menu’s free card lists 20 postflop solutions and 50 Trainer hands a day, more than the feature table on the same page. GTO Wizard’s PokerArena, where you play heads-up matches and get a GTO score after each one, is free in a browser and on iPhone. If you want to learn Hold’em before paying for solver study, Poker Skill is free on iPhone and Android, with one Practice vs AI game a day, every lesson and the Daily Puzzle.
Monthly or yearly: what you save
Billing yearly takes about a fifth off each plan. Starter drops from $49 to $39 a month, $468 for the year, and Ultra from $359 to $289. Yearly billing only saves money if you’d keep the plan for most of the year, so a player still deciding is better off with the free plan and then a single month of Starter.
Is there a GTO Wizard discount?
Yearly billing is the discount every plan gets on GTO Wizard’s own plan menu, and until 13:00 CEST on October 15, 2026, new subscribers can also get Ultra at its early-bird price. A partner’s link, from PokerNews for example, opens its homepage with a welcome offer of 10% off a first purchase. The prices on this page are the plan menu’s own, before any such offer. There are no bundles, and the menu offered no free trial when we read it: a first paid plan can be refunded within 7 days instead, with exceptions such as crypto payments.
Does each game format cost extra?
Yes. NLH Cash, NLH Tournament and PLO4 are separate subscriptions, and a second one costs its full price again: Premium for both Cash and Tournament comes to $198 a month. PLO4 has its own plans, Premium and Elite, at its own prices. The free plan’s limit of 100 preflop solutions a day is shared between Cash and Tournament.
Which plan fits which player
| Plan | Pick it if |
|---|---|
| Free | You want to see how solver study works before you pay anything. |
| Starter | You want Trainer reps without a daily cap, weekly live coaching and 100 analyzed hands a month, and a basic library is enough: in Cash, its postflop spots and Trainer hands are 100 big blinds deep, with no straddle or ante spots. |
| Premium | You play regularly and want every preflop solution (ICM spots included in Tournament) and the full heads-up postflop library, plus flop and turn reports and 100,000 analyzed hands a month. |
| Elite | You want GTO Wizard AI to solve heads-up spots you set up, with nodelocking to test an opponent’s habits, plus the solved 3-way spots and Tournament’s ICM spots after the flop. |
| Ultra | You want GTO Wizard AI to solve multiway spots you set up (preflop with up to nine players and 3-way postflop, ICM included in Tournament) and 1,500 Power Credits a month for custom reports. |
Cheaper and free routes
If the price is the problem, some of what GTO Wizard does has a cheaper or free route. GTO Wizard alternatives, by what you need compares the cheaper solver tools, from drills on your phone to a solver you run on your own computer. If you’re still learning the game, Poker Skill deals full hands against AI opponents in Practice vs AI, free on iPhone and Android, and publishes free solver answers for heads-up pots, with the why in plain words.
How we compared
- Monthly and yearly price
- What each plan adds
- Who each plan fits
GTO Wizard’s prices, plan contents and free limits come from its plan menu, read signed in on October 2, 2026, with the Cash and Tournament tabs on monthly and yearly billing. The Ultra change and the terms for early-bird subscribers come from GTO Wizard’s own announcements and terms. Which plan fits which player is our judgment, and we make Poker Skill.
