Lessons

Poker Skill teaches in lessons of a few minutes each, one idea at a time. The first ones cover the rules and hand rankings. Later ones cover position, when to raise or fold before the flop and continuation bets. The draw lessons teach you to count your outs and turn them into a rough chance of hitting with the rule of 2 and 4. Every answer, right or wrong, comes with coaching on why. Lessons use energy, which refills over time.

Daily Puzzle

Practice vs AI

In Practice vs AI, Poker Skill deals you full hands against AI opponents. At Rival's Table you play heads-up against Rival. At Maya's Table you play three-handed against Maya and Miles. All three are played by Showdown AI, the engine that runs the table. Without Poker Skill Plus you get one game a day.

Coach Max

Coach Max is the AI poker coach in Poker Skill's Practice vs AI, and he advises you while you play. When you face a bet, Coach Max gives you the pot odds and how often you need to be good to call, then asks what your hand beats or how many outs you have. The grades come after the game, in the game review.

How does Poker Skill grade your poker decisions?

Game review

When a Practice vs AI game ends, Poker Skill shows your result: where you finished, your net big blinds, the hands played, the XP you earned and how many decisions were graded. The How You Played screen breaks the game down further, with stats such as how often you raised before the flop and decision quality, the share of graded plays rated Optimal or Okay.

Streaks and XP

Poker Skill counts a day toward your streak when you finish a lesson or a puzzle. Lessons, puzzles and Practice vs AI games all earn XP.
